VISIT SESSION OF TUN HUSSEIN UNIVERSITY ON MALAYSIA (UTHM) TO DEPARTMENT OF SURVEYING AND MAPPING MALAYSIA | 20 SEPTEMBER 2022
A delegation from the Research Management Center (RMC), Universiti Tun Hussein On Malaysia (UTHM), Batu Pahat, Johor led by Prof. Ts. Dr. Norliza Binti Othman, Principal Researcher together with Dr. Saizalmursidi bin Md Mustam, Deputy Director (Strategy and Development) Research and Development Center, Prof. Associate Sr. Ts. Dr. Mustaffa bin Anjang Ahmad, UTHM Researcher, Ts. Dr. Hendy Fitrian Suhandri, UTHM Researcher and Sr. Ts. Dr. Nazirah binti Mohamad Abdullah, UTHM Researcher held a Visit Session to JUPEM today.
The delegation was welcomed by YBrs. Sr Wan Mohamad Darani bin Ab Rahman, Deputy Director General of Surveying and Mapping I together with YBrs. Sr Muhammad Salim Bin Mohammed Asari, Survey Director of the Cadastre Division. The session was also attended by Sr Mohamad Azmar bin Che Mat, Survey Director of the Planning and Corporate Division, Sr Iza Zarina binti Abdul Razak@Idris, Deputy Survey Director (National Geospatial Database Division) and other senior JUPEM officials.
Also at this visit session, JUPEM gave a briefing related to the introduction of JUPEM as well as a presentation on the MyGeoserve application and other products of the Department. While the UTHM side has delivered a briefing regarding the introduction as well as the direction and achievements of UTHM.
In addition, both parties have discussed initial proposals for sharing Geospatial expertise, data and information for research purposes and giving exposure to graduates related to the field of Geoinformation and Surveying and Mapping technology.
The Department will provide full cooperation and support to higher education in this country in line with giving exposure to students related to Geospatial concepts and the field of Geomatics.
