HONOR VISIT BY DEFENSE GEOGRAPHIC CENTER (DGC), UNITED KINGDOM AND ANNUAL MEETING BETWEEN DEFENSE GEOSPATIAL DIVISION, JUPEM MALAYSIA AND DEFENSE GEOGRAPHIC CENTER | OCTOBER 7, 2022
A representative of the Defense Geographic Center (DGC), Richard Shill who is the Regional Geospatial Liaison Officer Asia held a courtesy visit session to YBrs. Sr Mohammad Zaki bin Mohd Ghazali, Director General of Surveying and Mapping Malaysia on 7 October 2022.
Also present at this session are YBrs. Sr Wan Mohamad Darani bin Ab. Rahman, Deputy Director General of Surveying and Mapping I, Brig. Gen. Sr Dr Mohd Zambri bin Mohammad Rabab, Director of the Defense Geospatial Division (BGSP) and Lt Col Norazlin binti Pamuji, Deputy Director of the Defense Geospatial Division (BGSP), JUPEM.
The Annual Meeting between the Defense Geospatial Division of JUPEM and the Defense Geographic Center is a regular meeting held to further expand cooperation between Malaysia and the United Kingdom in relation to activities involving the exchange of maps. The meeting was held to discuss matters related to the exchange of maps/charts, training plans and courses required by the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) as well as assistance in collecting maps and historical documents related to mapping in Malaysia.
The meeting was chaired by Sr Mohammad Zaki bin Mohd Ghazali, Director General of Survey and Mapping Malaysia. Also present at this meeting were the Deputy Director of the Demarcation Affairs Division and the Deputy Director of the Mapping Policy and Coordination Division, JUPEM.
