OFFICIAL VISIT PERBADANAN ADAT MELAYU DAN WARISAN NEGERI SELANGOR (PADAT) TO JUPEM GALLERY AND REPOSITORY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SURVEYING AND MAPPING MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR, 13th April 2022 - Perbadanan Adat Melayu dan Warisan Negeri Selangor (PADAT) led by Encik Abdullah Anas bin Abu Bakar, Curator (Museum and Monument Administration Unit) together with five (5) officers including Assistant Curator and The Museum Assistant make an official visit to the JUPEM Gallery and the repository of the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM).

The visit was welcomed by Sr Rabiulkhair Bin Mohd Nor, Director of Survey of the Corporate Management Section and officers of the Corporate Management Section. The visit was also assisted by Sr K. Mathavan A/L S. Kumaran, Director of Survey Printing Section, Cartography and GIS Division (BKGIS) together with other officers.

The purpose of this PADAT official visit is to obtain information on JUPEM's involvement in stamp making as well as to see equipment related to printing machines.

The visit session began with a briefing on the Introduction of JUPEM presented by Ms. Nur Azureen binti Saad, Assistant Director of Survey, Corporate Management Section. Apart from that, visitors are taken to the JUPEM Gallery located on the 1st Floor, Survey Building. During the visit, Sr Izuan bin Hashim, Assistant Director of Survey of the Corporate Management Section gave a briefing on the function and history of the survey equipment as well as other materials available in the Gallery.

Visitors were also taken to the Printing Section where a sharing session by Sr K. Mathavan A/L S. Kumaran on his experience especially in the work of stamp production while visitors were taken to see the printing machines at JUPEM.

At the end of the visit, the PADAT representative presented a souvenir to the JUPEM representative as a memento. The tour session ended with a photo session.
