VISITS FROM ABROAD: BANGLADESH TO JUPEM
KUALA LUMPUR, 22 April 2022 - Land Administration Training Center (LATC), Dhaka, Bangladesh led by Mr Md Arif, Director of LATC together with fourteen (14) LATC officers paid a visit to the Survey Department and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM) on 22 April 2022, Friday.
The LATC officers were greeted by Sr Rabiulkhair bin Mohd Nor, Director of Survey Section, Planning and Corporate Division and accompanied by Sr Izuan bin Hashim to the JUPEM Customer Service Center to provide some information on the department's products.
The main purpose of this visit was to obtain information on the land management system carried out in the title management system in Malaysia.
The visit session was accompanied by a briefing delivered by Sr Looi Kam Seng, Director of Survey Section (Cadastral Legislation)- SME Cadastre (Cadastral Survey) where he shared his experience in the cadastral measurement system practiced in the country.
Apart from that, Sr Looi Kam Seng also presented on the involvement of agencies other than JUPEM in land management in Malaysia such as the Department of Director General of Land & Mines (JKPTG) and Land Office and explained about the process of issuing land title grants, underground title and strata management.
At the end of the visit, a delegation from LATC was escorted to the main lobby for a photo session and presentation of souvenirs.
JUPEM is pleased with the willingness of the LATC, Bangladesh to review and hold a visits here, and hopes to establish two way cooperation in the future.
