JUPEM Riders to the Central Point of Peninsular Malaysia

October 12, 2019: For the first time, JUPEM Riders is organizing a motorcycle convoy to the Central Peninsular of Malaysia in Lanchang, Pahang. Although busy with the daily task itself, it is not a hindrance for the 13 Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM) staff from the Division and State to participate in the convoy this time.

It is made possible through the involvement of JUPEM Riders comprising officers of various grades and positions making motor activities an integral part of the unity and fostering a spirit of cooperation. This approach is seen to bridge the gap and to bridge the gap as we want to get to know and see the Central Point of Peninsular Malaysia Monument located in Kampung Paya Siput, Lanchang, Pahang.

The monument is located on an old road connecting Karak with Temerloh. Reference points are referred to as Long / Lat 03 29 33U / 102 13 10T, 3.4925U / 102.219444T, RSO: x 469519.6934 / y 386358.7627.

There are 2 monuments in the area, the first Monument to the Central Point of Peninsular Malaysia, while next to it is a monument that shows the direction of the Qiblah with an elevation of 5 statues representing the Rukun Islam.

JUPEM Riders will continue to look for surveying and mapping entities across Malaysia to enhance their knowledge and make recreation like this a rewarding activity in the future.
